This is just a sad occurrence. Menstruation is such a beautiful, rejuvenating, and extremely hygienic phenomenon that simply by virtue of where it comes from is classified dirty.

People who criticise the depiction of menstruation are criticising the very thing that makes women women, and I think we have a word for that already.. misogyny??
