  1. Lowe’s discovers an online scam involving nearly $275,000 worth of goods. A New Jersey couple is charged with trying to steal $258,000 worth of goods from Lowes.com. About $13,000 in merchandise was fraudulently obtained and then offered for sale on a Facebook group, prosecutors say. [Digital Commerce 360, Internet Retailer]
  2. Wal-Mart and Google Team Up to Challenge Amazon. The retail giant will join Google Express, adding hundreds of thousands of items to the online-shopping marketplace. [WSJ]
  3. Amazon-Whole Foods Deal Clears Last Two Major Hurdles. [NY Times]
  4. JD.com, Central in talks for e-commerce venture. China’s JD.com Inc is in advanced talks with Central Group to launch an e-commerce joint venture in Thailand with a planned total investment of $500 million (16.7 billion baht), people familiar with the matter told Reuters. [Bangkok Post]
