Driving Directions
From the North on US HWY 81: Turn right off Hwy 81 onto 8th Street going West. (You will see a sign for Mount Marty College).Stay on 8th Street to the next traffic light at the corner of 8th and Summit. (The hospital, college and monastery can be seen at that corner). Continue ahead through the intersection and turn left at the first opportunity (about 1/4 block past the intersection) onto the monastery / college entrance road. Pass the hospital on your left and the large Chapel on your right. A short distance past the Chapel, turn right into the Sacred Heart Monastery parking area and enter the door under the clock and bell tower. A receptionist will greet you there.
From the South on US HWY 81: Cross the bridge over the Missouri River and follow Hwy 81 to the second traffic light at 4th Street. Turn left onto 4th Street and follow the street as it curves around the front of the hospital. Go to the next traffic light at the corner of 8th and Summit. (The hospital, college and monastery can be seen at that corner).
Turn left at 8th and Summit. Make another left at the first opportunity (about 1/4 block past the intersection.) onto the monastery/ college entrance road. You will pass college buildings on your right and the hospital on your left and then the large Chapel on your right. A short distance past the Chapel, turn right into the Sacred Heart Monastery parking area and enter the door under the clock and bell tower. A receptionist will greet you there.
From the East on SD HWY 50: Follow Hwy 50 through Yankton to the intersection with US Hwy 81. Turn right on Hwy 81 and drive to the next traffic light at 8th Street. Turn left onto 8th Street and drive to the next traffic light. (The hospital, college, and monastery can be seen at that corner.)

From the West on SD HWY 52: Follow Hwy 52 into Yankton (Hwy 52 turns into West 8th St.) Continue on this road and turn right directly after you pass the Laddie Cimpl Arena on Mount Marty College’s Campus, (about 1/4 block before the 8th Street & Summit intersection) onto the monastery/college entrance road. Pass the hospital on your left and the large Chapel on your right. A short distance past the Chapel, turn right into the Sacred Heart Monastery parking area and enter the door under the clock and bell tower. A receptionist will greet you there.
By air: The airports in Sioux Falls, SD, and Sioux City, IA are about an hour away.
By bus: The nearest bus terminal is Vermillion, 30 miles east of Yankton.
