The cure for the pain is in the pain. The external cure you seek is a phantom. There is no distraction strong enough for you to weather the storm. There is nothing that will extinguish the flames of agony. And there is nothing that can mask the the terror of the powerlessness you feel. Most assuredly, there is nothing outside the context of the tribulation itself that will lessen the totality of the loss and the ferocity of the grief. You must walk into the fire — and burn. For it is there, in the searing intensity of the immolation you will transmute the pain to a fountainhead of hope.
