Ben-hur (1959)

Today I watched this classic movie with that amazing happy ending. I really enjoy happy ending movies because I feel better after watching them. What’s the purpose of watching movies?! most of the time it’s entertainment so it’s my opinion .

well about the movie .The film Ben-Hur 1959 is an epic Roman story about rivalry between Jewish and Roman characters. There are several types of scenes in the film:

The first type is character introduction. This scene makes you feel that Judah Ben-Hur is just a normal citizen in Jerusalem, he has his family, his friends, his life. The second type is battle scenes with chariots and horses. You feel like you are right there with them during the fight because of how detailed it is. The third type of scene is where Judah’s sister and mother have been taken away from him and he has to figure out how to get them back

Ben-Hur 1959 does a really good job at making you feel emotions for the characters in the movie and making it seem like it could happen in real life .

I know it’s an old ,classic epic movie . but it was my first time watching it. That Was A Really Good Movie . I really love this kind of genre like Spartacus but I have one question:

why did they black out Jesus’ face?

Tbh i thought they didn't want the audience to judge or love the character that they wanted to show , by his face and facial features, for example audience would fall in love with handsome actors , but i thought they want us to feel the personality and kindness and generousness of him by his behaviors .THEN, of course i googled it and this is the answer that I found: Christ was played by the late American actor Claude Heater. He was not included in the credits for the movie. All the shots of Heater in the film showed him facing away from the camera as it was decided not to show his face in the film. I really enjoyed the chariot race scene .I learned that when you help others someone else would help you as ben-hur saves the consul of Rome .

This is a film that engages the senses and the emotions .I was amazed at how this movie managed to tell a story of one man’s struggles with societal expectations without being preachy or overly sentimental. This movie is so beautiful and has such a great message.
