Hello and welcome!

This first post is just the beginning of a new gaming blog I’m going to be doing. I’ve named it Night Owl Gaming Blog, catchy huh? Today, I’ll be talking about the content you can look forward to, the rate at which I’ll be posting, where you can find me, and other important information. First, I’ll be real with you.

Some Personal Stuff

I have been a PC gamer my whole life, I got my first computer when I was only two years old. Ever since I could literally hold a mouse, I have been passionate about video games, specifically PC gaming at large. I do not own a console, and don’t plan to. However, games on PC often appear on consoles, so console gamers could benefit from this blog as well. Just know that I won’t be focusing on any console exclusive games.

PC gaming is a very different market than console gaming. PCs are more customizable, and can easily be modded by players to suit their dreams and play-styles. Consoles such as X-Box and Playstation can’t be modified in any way, at least not without voiding the warranty. And they oftentimes can’t enjoy the same mods that PC gamers do. Consoles do however have many exclusive games, but I won’t be focusing on those.

This year has been quite the show, take that as you will, for video games at large. That is why I will be focusing my blog on content that has been released this year only.

Content

Since the content I’ll be posting is from this year only, that narrows the focus down to games that are in the scene right now. There is no point writing about games that are more than a year old, people forget things very quickly, so writing about those games would be a waste of my time, and yours, because no one wants to read that content anymore. Below is a list of some of the games I’ll be covering.

You’ll notice that not all the games are “triple A”, I want to focus on some indie games as well. Games such as Doom and Overwatch might be popular right now, but as those games take the spotlight, there are gems in the background just waiting to be discovered. This is certainly not an exhaustive list, but as I’ve said, I’ll be focusing on current year games. I’ll be posting something new hopefully every Friday, you’ll notice updates on releases on both my Twitter and Facebook pages, which are listed below.
