I think I’m with you taking Angular2 over Angular1 at this point. As you say, it isn’t likely that they going to make breaking changes and the improvements speak for themselves.

I guess the heavy part to foresee the complexity of an application, is the complexity itself :) but I guess until a point, it is possible and based on that a decision if React or Angular would suit better.
