Dear Tino Tereshko — I do like the simplicity approach, but wonder whether a flat 80% discount would mis-allocate aggregate value. Quite possibly, the ones who end up with the nodes would be those who are fastest/luckiest rather than the ones who would produce most value from the nodes. An auction/market model would price perfectly to maximum value to the client and maximum revenue recovered to Google.
I understand the complexity argument, but much of that is usually abstracted away by the likes of Hashicorp and others.
Would value your thoughts on this.
