A group of cub scouts doing their first Mackinac race got to see a Tigers game, as guests of the team.

A group of Cub Scouts from Pack 86 out of Grosse Pointe Park are having the summer of their dreams.

They’re not only doing Bells Beer Bayview Mackinac Race with their dads, the boys, all ardent little leaguers, were randomly drawn by the Tigers to represent Detroit’s baseball team in the race this year. (The Tigers, Lions, Pistons and Redwings each draw a boat as their team boat each year.)

To make the summer just about perfect, the boys were invited to be the Tigers’ guests at a recent game, even getting their photo taken on the sacred grass at Comerica Park.

Talk about having a perfect summer!
