Local boats clean up in Chicago Mack

The 106th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac is in the record books, with only the awards party, called the Sailor’s Celebration, yet to come Tuesday afternoon in the Grand Hotel’s garden.

And eight of the flags went to Detroit-area boats. Not bad. Looking at it another way, local sailors won 14% of the non-cruising flags, while making up just 8% of the fleet.
