Island Poké Salad

At Salads UP, we strive to bring you a fresh and relevant menu, and always have an eye on new food trends on the rise. Obviously, we pass on trends that don’t fit our healthy profile (we see you ramen burgers) and even ones that do (sorry smoothie bowls).

Sometimes the stars align and we see an opportunity to incorporate a unique trend or cuisine into our concept. So, let us introduce our newest creation — Island Poké salad — the first true poké salad on the market.

Poké (pronounced poh-kay) is a hot item right now. Poké is basically a fancy word for ‘chunk’ and is traditionally just small pieces of raw fish marinated in soy sauce, sesame oil and other pacific flavors. The dish originates from Hawaii and made its way to the mainland via Los Angeles. Now, you can find poké spots throughout the country.

The poké we serve is sushi grade ahi tuna that’s packed with anti-inflammatory omega 3 fatty acids. We’ve put a Salads UP twist on our marinade and serve it over a spring mix base with some of our most popular salad toppings.

Hula down over and give it a try :)
