Please meet my beloved friend, Heather. Not only is she a terrific friend to many, she is a caring mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. Heather was recently diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy, a type of Kidney disease and is in dire need of a kidney transplant.

Latest news is that her kidneys are functioning at 14%. Let that sink in. Her KIDNEYS are functioning at only 14%. She is desperately looking for a kidney donor. She is specifically looking for donors with Type O blood type (positive or negative.) Unfortunately, no one in her family and no one in her circle of friends has been found to be a match. For this reason, I have decided to ask for help on behalf of my dear friend. I’m not asking for thoughts. I am not asking for prayers. What HEATHER needs is our ACTION.

I am asking for you to do one of the following, please-

1. Consider being a live Kidney Donor

Read about what it takes to be a Live Kidney Donor here. If you are so moved to learn more about if you are a match for Heather, please contact her directly here.

2. Donate to this GoFundMe Account

If you can spare it, any amount helps. Not only does she have her own medical expenses to cover, she must fund the donor’s, plus two years of aftercare.

The easiest thing you can do is to simply spread the word. Help me make Heather’s story viral. We have seen it time and time again on the news, or Facebook, where someone’s life was saved due to the generosity of a complete stranger. So share this post anywhere you can.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and thank you in advance for any action you decide to take to help Heather in her time of need.
