The Death of François Fillon

What happened to François Fillon in the last elections? He actually was ahead of the elections, everyone believed that he was going to be President. However, he suddenly lost every possibility to achieve this goal.

He was with his party one day as normal when suddenly everyone received messages at the same time. We all know that politics are very connected to Twitter as it is one of their principal source of information. Well, everyone received a message, even Fillon. They looked at this information, published by Le Canard Enchaîné, and it was leaked information about the salary of Pénélope Fillon, who is the wife and secretary of François Fillon. This made a huge buzz. Everyone was talking of corruption. How a man like Fillon with principals could be corrupt like so many politics?

He deceived a lot of voters who decided to vote for Macron instead of him. At first, Fillon didn’t want to abandon politics, he wanted to continue. But he managed badly the situation. He thought he could manage all by himself without consulting the communication team. That was an error, if he had contacted and communicated with the team they would have helped him and maybe saved him in order that he could continue his career in politics.

In the end, media say that Fillon killed himself. Communication is important and most of all in these situations. He wasn’t able to adapt to new ways of communications, to manage the leaks that were in Social Media, and that was the end of his career.
