Chapter Two: Convergence Citizen Journalism and Emerging Media

New comes to us in many different ways and this chapter focused on how the use of media like the internet has grown when it come to getting the day to day news. There is so much technology now like computers, smartphones and tablets it’s so easy for people to reach the news it is literally at the tip of everyone's fingers. We can access it from every where but there are some down falls to this.

Since the Internet is so popular now the use of newspapers are not so popular when it comes to getting the news. There has been such a big shift in the consumption of the news. There has been question if the Internet and television will soon make all newspapers have disappeared is a question that has been ask frequently. But although these are good sources they still have their own issues.

Many people distrust the media and at times the media can have a negative connotation. Journalist do not have a reason to why the public has such a distrust and attitude like this when it comes to media and there is no clear answer to why either.

This chapter means a lol to me based on the fact that I live in a place where there is technology all around me and so I need to be aware of these things, and know the ins and outs of media. This is also the field that I am going into and so as a digital media person Ii need to know what is going on and see what people like and what the don’t lije so then I can help in contributing to enhance it.
