But I’m scared of not having enough to contribute. How do you work that out?

You keep trying and failing until you succeed. When you succeed once, you’ll know if you can contribute or not, and what you’ll need to begin contributing.

Either way, you’ll never find out if you have enough until you try. You don’t need to be a ninja at writing code, or the greatest engineer in the world. Being fascinated by the world around you and engaging in the challenges you face are what makes you a good engineer.

Keep trying. There are days when I feel exactly as you do, so know that you’re not alone.

Keep trying, keep learning.
