The theory of evolution was not driven by “consensus,” it was driven by a small minority of scientists dedicated to the Truth with fearless examination of the empirical facts.

Most scientists did not accept Darwin, that’s because the consensus has nothing to do with Truth. See also, Galileo, Socrates, etc.

Likewise, Climate Change is almost certainly an incomplete and poorly understood theory, there is no reason to accept the consensus on this because the empirical data is totally lacking.
