10 steps to change your life
Those who only look to the past or the present will miss the future
Change is the desire that looms in the sky of everyone who wants to live a life other than the one he lives now, you wake up in the morning to find yourself doing the same things, boredom and fatal monotony in your life. going fast.
The only constant in our lives is change that we cannot avoid. The more we resist change, the more difficult our lives become.
Change surrounds us everywhere and it is the element that has had a drastic impact on our lives. Change can touch you at some point in your life, and there is no way to avoid it because it will find you and force you to rethink the way you live your life.
Change in our lives can happen as a result of a crisis, a choice, or by chance. After all, we all face situations in which we have to choose, should we accept change or not? Frankly, change in your life is always in your favor when you choose, not when you are forced to.
But we cannot avoid unexpected events (crises) in our lives because it is these events that change the inertia with which we live our lives.
What we can control when we go through these difficult events, is how we choose how we react to them.
It is the power of choice we have that enables us to make a positive change in our lives.
Exploiting the power of choice gives us a greater opportunity to change our lives for the better. The more opportunities we create to change our lives, the happier our lives will be.
What to do then, you want change and fear it at the same time, you shudder at the idea of a vague future and forget to live your day and improve in it to make it a bridge that leads you to a bright future. I think you read a lot of human development books, you read about how to organize time, but you find yourself backtracking after a week or two.
What to do then?? Here are some of the steps that I have taken and the fact that things have changed in my life and I am still learning and trying to change..
1- Try to find meaning in life
Spend some time trying to identify what is important in your life and why it is important.
What do you want to achieve in your life?
What are your dreams?
What makes you happy?
The meaning you find in life gives you a specific purpose and sets the direction for the way you want to live life. Without a meaning to life, you will spend the rest of your life in a state of confusion without a definite direction, focus, or purpose.
2- Write down your dreams
When we were kids, we would daydream all the time. We were good at dreaming and imagining what we would do when we grew up.
We believed that anything is possible. And when we became adults, we lost our ability to dream. Our dreams are hidden. Once we started feeling like we were going to get something done, our dreams seemed impossible.
Writing your dreams on a large piece of paper that you see every day is a great way to believe in your dreams again.
Our dreams become reality and we begin to believe in the possibility of achieving those dreams.
3- Set your goals
To achieve your dreams Once you know what is important in your life and what your life is like through dreams, you need to take concrete steps and set goals for the short, medium and long term.
Trying to achieve these goals is what enables you to achieve your dreams.
Remember that your goals can change, always be flexible in setting goals and achieving them because situations change in life and your goals must be a reflection of those changes.
It’s the small steps you take that make a difference to your life.
5- Choose some scary activities and do them
It’s about choosing to step out of the realm of life you’re used to. Giving a speech in front of the audience is one of the most frightening experiences.
Make a list of activities that you would love to do but that you are afraid of. Make a plan and then implement it. Never stop doing whatever scares you.
6- Questions you must answer
Why do I want to change?? Yes, first you have to answer this question, because not knowing the reasons for the change will never encourage you to go ahead and fight for it. Answer other questions such as Who am I? What do I do in this life? Why was I created?
So what are you waiting for, take a pen and paper and start answering honestly
It is an important step. Before you change, you must know the reasons behind your desire to make this decision and know the reason for your presence on this earth.
7- Change that won’t lead you to the better is useless
Do you know what is important in change is to make you a happy person, active and spreading goodness wherever you go and travel.
The change that will not make you close to yourself and close to the work you love is useless, try to make changes in your life that make you happy, changes that make you a productive and successful person.
For example, if you are a smoker, stop smoking and join a voluntary association, in which you may educate young people and thus be a living example of patience and strength of determination.
The important thing is that your change is for the better, not for the worse.
8- Read a lot
Each time you learn something new, you gain more knowledge that leads to more self-confidence. Learning helps us to be more adaptable and more flexible with different situations. Learning encourages us to be more creative and innovative in our thinking. Thus, we feel more comfortable with everything that is unknown to us.
The more you read, the more you will change and become a different person than before. If you do not like reading, this is a mistake you will regret a lot. Do you know that if you devote only 15 minutes to reading books a day, you will be among the 20% of the most read people in the world.
Try to devote time in your day to reading and make it sacred, believe me, you will feel great pleasure and I am sure that fifteen minutes will not be enough to quench your thirst for knowledge and letter. Read on and you will see that you will feel a great desire to change and achieve your dreams.
Reading books is a great way to learn, and until you enjoy learning in every sense of the word, never stop reading or looking for more knowledge. Learning gives life meaning and that is what makes our lives valuable.
9- Your surroundings lift or destroy you
You have to choose your friends and the people around you, choose a company that has a positive outlook on life, holds your hand and encourages you, surround yourself with people of high determination who value the value of time and have goals to fight for, stay away from the pessimists and frustrated stay away from everyone who shows you only the half empty cup.
The only person who will make a difference in your life is you! To make this change happen, you have to love yourself. There will be times in life when you will feel rejected and there will be people who don’t like you very much. When you accept and love yourself for who you are, it will help you advance in your life. Constantly putting yourself down and feeling that you could be better will make you miserable and unsatisfied.
I’d rather be alone on the road and reach my dreams than surround myself with people who will only give me applause while I bury my dreams.
Do not be afraid to be alone, when you reach the top, everyone will gather around you, do not be afraid to walk the path alone, for you have created an independent self.
10- live in the present moment
Some of us think we miss many things, and often we try to try what we thought we were missing and find that it is all a mirage.
What motivates us to change our lives is our desire to be happy. Too often we get so caught up in our pursuit of happiness that we miss out on the joy of the present moment.
Our desire to feel happy in our lives is a desire for the future, not the present. We are so consumed by our problems and so dissatisfied with the present that we miss out on the beauty of the present moment.
And in the end, I want to tell you, be the change you want.
