Cardio Exercise : Base Switch
Building on our low impact high intensity ground cardio exercise, here is another one to try. Now we are doing the full rotation which increase the intensity of the movement with added benefits for the core and shoulders.
- Begin in quad squat position, weight equally distributed between hands and feet, elbows bent and shoulders packed down.
- Raise your right arm and left leg from the floor (opposite arm, opposite leg).
- Pull the leg through underneath, leading from the hip and then the knee, to rotate face up into the “crab” position.
- Raise your right arm and left leg and reverse the motion.
- Come back in the quad squat position.
- Repeat to the opposite side.
- 1L/1R = 1 rep.
