How Technology Can Get Us Closer to Nature
Hollywood and many others are always attempting new ways to lure our five senses and engage our minds so that we can get that internal satisfaction.
3D films, 4D films to immersive 7D experiences with motion, sound, touch and even taste.
Now, that time has finally arrived in our culture that is often referred to in sci-fi movies from the 80s like Back to the Future 2 or Total Recall. It’s time for screens to depict pure nature, in places where it still remains in tact.
A new organization is now broadcasting LIVE video feeds of walruses, Alaskan mountains, redwood forests, California beaches, Aurora Borealis and so much more.
Not only that, they even have off-season cameras for footage of things that are not in season. Now, you could simply choose to connect your large screen TVs to broadcast scenes of pure nature.
We are surrounded by construction, noise pollution, air pollution and visual pollution. There is hardly a sense that’s not obstructed.
To enhance our “virtual natural reality” we love turning on our air purifiers and bask in tasting the fresh air as depicted on our screens.
Is this a joke? It’s not. While we would all clearly benefit from living in the forest, be off-grid and off-pipe in a beautifully sustainable tiny home, it simply cannot become the reality for most of us due to our worldly responsibilities.
So, let’s take things one step at a time. Relax with pure air and a vista of your choice.
