August’s Story

Our friends at AUGUST just recently published their story.

Sean Wing is the Founder. Here’s his letter:

“Being heard as an artist is just about as likely as hitting the lottery.

For every Taylor Swift and Annie Leibovitz there are thousands more equally talented yet to be heard.

Artists need a sustainable amplification for their voice, and I realized this first hand while working with the fashion company Hurley, surrounded by artists like Rachel Reinert and Sean DuFrene, both supremely talented, but like so many other incredible artists were struggling to reach the world with their work.

Fans love the thrill of discovering and connecting with rising and established artists, but lacking the time and tools needed to find them, are left unexposed to the creative voices in the world.

So we created AUGUST, alongside visionary artists like Chris Burkard and Maroon 5’s Ryan Dusick. A platform for artists to tell their stories, capturing the imagination and wonder of the billions of people who want to discover and be part of their world.

AUGUST was built to give the world’s imagination a voice, from the next generation of artists to anyone with a story to tell.

In a world of over seven billion people we believe there lies an audience with enough energy and passion to fuel every true artist. AUGUST is a place to gather inspiration from these artists whose music gets us through the workday, whose films and photographs dares us to dream bigger, and whose writings give us a new way to view the world.

Even more, it’s a place to tell our stories about the immeasurable adventures we live every day.
