Friends, I finally found the courage to take a 30-day break from social media. And let me tell you, it was one wild ride full of twists, turns, and hilarious misadventures!

At first, I panicked.

How would I get my fix of cute puppy pics and epic food porn?

How would I fiercely clap back at random trolls without Twitter?

#FirstWorldProblems

But after white-knuckling through the first few days, I started to feel…lighter, you know?

Not comparing my ho-hum life to the glam highlight reels of others did wonders for my self-esteem.

Who would have thunk?

Now, don’t get me wrong.

My willpower shrivelled like a prune in the desert at times.

When my fingers slipped, I may have “accidentally” liked a few Insta posts. Hey, quitting cold turkey is tough!

While I got more quality time with my toilet, thanks to the lack of entertainment, I shockingly observed the world around me.

Get this — I even had honest conversations with humans! No emoji decoding is needed. Growth!

Though my 30 days of solitude have ended, I won’t be diving back into the deep end of social media addiction.

Everything in moderation, I say! But let’s be honest — I’ll need to ease back into my regular schedule of digital validation and mindless scrolling.

A girl’s gotta get her fix!

Was it all worth it?

Abso-freaking-lutely.

I reset my relationship with technology and realized life shouldn’t be an endless photoshoot. But enough about me — how have you balanced social media and real life lately?

Let me know in the comments below! And be sure to mash that like button if you can relate to my laughable struggles.
