Don’t fool yourself. Three people were responsible for that woman’s death:
- the mayor, for telling cops to stand down which incited the riot in the first place
- the maniac behind the wheel of that car (contrary to your straw man insinuating that I somehow absolved him from responsibility)
- Ms Heyer herself, for deciding to participate in a riot. She wasn’t tied to a lamp post. Nobody was sitting on her chest. Nobody was blackmailing or extorting her to force her attendance. She put herself in danger by choosing to stick around in a riot. She was right in the middle of the crowd. That crowd was jumping on cars, smashing windows, and throwing metal newspaper boxes around. She was not protesting peacefully, much as leftist lugenpresse expects us to believe, she was participating in a riot. “Peaceful protesters” do one thing when a protest gets violent — they leave. She chose not to. If she’d left when things got violent, she’d be here today. Instead she made the stupid choice, and now she is dead. Logical consequences. Even without the car, rioting isn’t something smart that you do unless you want to end up jailed, injured — or dead.
