Tuesday Check-in
Megan Reynolds

This weekend took an unexpected turn when we lost power for 24 hours. (#LARain) Luckily, my parents live relatively close by, so we packed up our refrigerator and the dog and spent the night at their place. We couldn’t bring all our food, so we lost some of it, but were able to save the most expensive items (meat, cheese, etc). We realized how lucky we are to have people who will take us in, making a power outage no worse than a temporary inconvenience.

This derailed most of our weekend plans, but we still managed to have some fun. I went out to lunch with a friend ($17); bought $30 worth of groceries; we saw a movie last night ($30 for 2) and went out to dinner ($46 for 2). Total = $123.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
