@eleanorbrasfield Isn’t it odd? I took for granted that the equality everyone fought for was so that I could do as I pleased in the skin I was born in. This skin lightening is a sticky business. I don’t want to condemn anyone, because it comes from a place of hurt and rejection, but by the same token, I don’t want to be forced to do it or held back because I won’t. Could you imagine? If they came around and said all those darker than a paper bag must bleach? I’d cut someone.
