1. Is an actress in Adult films of sexual nature (Pornography).
2. Born in Lebanon yet raised predominantly in the USA.
3. Parents raised her in the Catholic faith.
4. Gained notoriety (also Death threats) for her reference to wearing Muslim Attire (Hijab) in a Pornographic film.
5. Likes American Football and Batman comics.

Now as far as the ambassadorial role reference this is merely to point out the contradictory references in the backlash and support for Mia Khalifa.

Now it may seem derogatory or a stretch of the imagination to see Mia as modern equivalent to Joan of Arc. Yet within our modern image based culture of references, you can see Joan of Arc after her death inspired similar division within society still to this day.

Such common themes from the mere mention of Joan of Arc’s name would be described either demonic fanatic, spiritual mystic, naive and tragically ill-used tool of the powerful, creator and icon of modern popular nationalism and sometimes adored heroine.

Yet there are other trail blazing examples of Pornographic artists with in the Political Milieu. What is most interesting with Mia Khalifa’s dichotomy at this point in society. Is that a vast division of Muslim and Christian in Media dominated storylines. The Mass of people viewing these corporately owned stations are almost incensed to take sides everyday. Now this boiling over of Binary Logic (for example on, or off, yes, or no, Left or, Right.). The deeper narrative of belief and ideology has cross pollinated, or transgressed into the shady relatively unregulated world of pornography and the “bloggosphere” on the internet.

Now the most divisive theme, (in a deeper societal sense) is that Mia Khalifa now represents the Freedoms of the American capitalist movement. At the same time with her obvious skin tone and Middle eastern Arabic look. It could be suggested that she is fast becoming the cultural hegemony for both sides. Running a fine line of the sexually liberal Leftist values of the west, and the private secular belief of marriage and traditional values of Muslim and Christians alike in the Middle East.

Politically it appears as a greater set of circumstance’s where the cultural propaganda is in a direct conflict. The changing ideology from traditional belief systems and views is being pushed to the forefront. So in summation this transgression of a societal norm has become the discussion point of the satirical and absurd. This in turn points out the very nature of what deficiencies exist, and what possibly could be made to fix the deficiencies.

The reasoning I surmise behind this is:

If there is no problem within a societies belief system of Power and Control, they have no reason to argue or attack. Only when change initiates in the minds of the next generation is there a change in political stance.

So I can only surmise and speculate that Mia Khalifa is of a certain level political awareness. The two worlds that she appears to have come between in this mass-debate, using pornography as context and Arabic Beauty as the metaphor.

The themes of sexual freedoms, traditions and the Media Demonisation of the Muslim religion, will only become more apparent in the coming years. As we well know that all Historical Unifications of Trade, religion, culture and country, the outcomes are almost always met with the same wars and divisions.

Will Mia Khalifa become the next UN ambassador bridging the gulf between the repressive and the progressive?
