To put it bluntly. We as a human species input information into a machine. The Machine calculates everything a person in power needs to control masses of people. The self performed plastic wrapped, hypersensitive cotton wool generation has now become the virtual world of thought.
Our media saturated worlds are currently colliding into a digital universal language which resembles the same behaviour as Artificial Intelligence ‘Bots’. A ‘Bot’ (online robot automated code) runs on the need to fulfil its function. As everyone feeds more information into the great A.I. server programme, the more humans behave in line with the predictable bot. We are beginning to see the cost of the hand held black mirror (smartphone or tablet) calculating numbers or social validation with no real way of knowing if it’s a ‘Bot’ or a human. The cryptos, the endlessly printed cash money and stock market fluctuations. It appears that the dark web, consciousness, is representing a mere shadow of the human psyche in the collection of tags. But it’s not all that bad? We as a human digitally connected species meant to embrace the illusion. Before the illusion ends and the harsh reality will be there waiting. As the media scrambles to keep the same narrative going demanded by the virtual Bot we will not really experience what it is to be human. But more likely it will allow us access to what a perfect virtual human is.
We are definitely obsessed with the ‘New’ And this glowing screen with numbers of followers, likes and symbols of tokenistic appreciation. All in the Bot’s function to create a homogenised visual literacy amongst the world’s populace that is not culturally specific language, but universal in the global speak of emojis.
So in the current trajectory of starship earth, we are now entering a strange plot. Devised by the Political/Media on their own Holodeck.
Everyone knows historically that there was a price paid during the boom times of the roaring 1920s ended in the 1950s Great Depression. The movement of society into a new technology like what Stalin and Mao’s cultural movement did with people and mass migration towards urban life. We can only discuss history in retrospect. And as current events now take place in 2020. It will be known as hindsight in 2020. Or as Mr Herron once wrote in the revolution will not be televised.
“You will not be able to stay home, brother. You will not be able to plug in, turn on and drop out. You will not be able to lose yourself on skag and Skip out for beer during commercials.
Because the revolution will not be televised.” (excerpt) Gil Scott-Heron. The revolution will not be televised.”
