To test or not to test…

I think with tests at some point (probably around 80%) it starts following the law of diminishing returns. You spent too much effort, but a results is not providing any value.

I remember one programmer was very proud that after spending couple of days he managed to test a default branch of “switch” statement with switch value been an enum (i.e. there were no value that would hit the default branch).
