One thin that immediately shows especially stupid left-wingers, is when they use epithet “unnecessary” with “austerity”. You immediately see that there is nothing this person will ever understand because they would rather live in an imaginary world. In the world when if you just do some virtue signalling then everything will be free for everybody.
And no, it is bollocks when you blame cuts for cases when the policy is not allowed to chaise a moped rider who is not wearing a helmet or to arrest too many black people because it makes their numbers wrong. It has nothing to do with so-called “austerity”. If you are not allowed to chaise a moped rider, it does not matter how much money you’ve got, he will get away.
And no, 1960 was not the time of “highest living standards”. That is complete bollocks.
As for “strict regulations on the purchase and sale of corrosive substances” — you can buy those in a shop for usual everyday use. There is nothing you can do about purchase or sale. The only thing you can do is to make it illegal to carry these items and do “stop and search” (the latter will probably be condemned by left-wingers on the grounds that it is “racist” or whatever), plus stop blaming the police when someone gets killed in the process of committing the crime. The left creates the problem and then blames others for having it in the first place.
