Position of Labour leadership is clear enough. Corbyn, who was a life-long opponent of EU, has, as a result of election, strengthen his grip over Labour Party. He now defines the policy.
Pro-EU Labour MPs are being marginalised as they are usually “Blairites”.
Remain voters who supported Labour were misled (quite consciously – Corbyn allowed the candidates to tell those voters what they wanted to here even when that was not compatible with the party manifesto). But as subsequent events in Parliament showed Corbyn will not allow the party to take pro-EU position even in the cases when it seem convenient to inconvenience Conservative government.
