The problem is that if one knows that the meeting is imminent, one not starting anything that might need to be interrupted.

The better alternative is probably if everybody when starting a day just say what they would normally say during the stand up but on Slack in a special channel, avoiding the need to play children next to a board filled with coloured pieces of paper.
