The quality of “political discourse” depends on both sides. For as long as “Islam is a way of life that sits deeper than an identity”, it will continue be seen as a danger.

There is nobody to blame for it — as long as you segregate yourself, you will stay segregated.

And as long as Muslims see themselves as a group with special political interests, Islam will continue to be seen as a threat to the society.
