About Amanda

Amanda Lopez is the College District Coordinator in Osceola County, Florida. The first person in the county with this title, Amanda has taken her skills as a school counselor and applied them at a district level.

About the District

Osceola County in Florida has 10 high schools, in addition to their elementary and middle schools. While all of these schools had high school counselors, not all of them had college readiness programs in place. To solve this issue, they decided to establish and support college readiness initiatives from the district level.
