I think placing the wrong emphasis on long-term plans is the problem…being disappointed when you’re not where you wanted to be in five years, when you didn’t pivot or make changes along the way. The world changes so quickly that a five year (business) plan is nearly useless. Goals…that’s where it’s at. Write them down, make them actionable, and then act in accordance with them while making allowances for new technology, new ways to work, changes in the economy, etc. Great post!
