First of all, I’d like to think the Mark Starlin Academy for this tremendous honor — which fills the void left by the cancellation of this year’s Nobel Prize for Literature. In such a crowded and competitive field of such fine wordsmiths, it’s truly just an honor to be nominated. I’d also like to think the many unsung heroes that struggled and strived so hard working in the background in order to make all this possible — they’re the real heroes. Thanks also to Hanes and Fruit of the Loom, which I’m proudly wearing as I accept this honor…There’s so many other people I’d like to think, too, but the orchestra is playing me off.
