Autonomous weapons are changing 1500 years of Catholic thinking on war
Scott Beauchamp

Glad to see this blurb on the concept of just war theory. After skeptically studying it I found it to be lacking. The advances of technology didn’t bother me as much as the total absence of anything covering responsibility. I suppose that does relate to technology because depleted uranium ruined parts of Iraq for the next several billion years. And the doctrine doesn’t even solidly define “war”. Traditionally it was declared conflict against nation states or kingdoms. Now it’s against inanimate objects or ideas.
