Technology in healthcare should be mending not disruptive.

I think I am of a similar mind as you in that we don’t need the same sort of “innovation” as with the general technology sector. I would prefer more technology community and governmental cooperation in a way that doesn’t necessarily favor only profit related moves. The raw capitalist ideal promotes massive failure rates for the evolutionary business cycle to work.

On the topic of patient education however, I see health education as something that is entirely driven by the patient. People who naturally seek knowledge will easily find more of it and people who are lazy will turn health education into product marketing.
