Clone Wars Final Season Poster

This series follows chronicling the events that took place between Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, this show follows the wartime days of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi, and Yoda. This show also brings new characters to the forefront of the Star Wars canon, including Anakin’s apprentice Ahsoka Tano, and Captain Rex.

Arguably the best part of clone wars is the clones themselves. We were introduced to great characters like Rex, Cody, Wolffe, domino squad, and the bad batch. The showcase on the creation and training of the clones was a great expansion to the universe the movies never could. We even got to learn the training of younger clones. The best part in my opinion was the comradery they shared with other clones and the trust and respect they had for their generals. It was heartbreaking to see each clone die after we got to know them.

The politics was really fleshed out and made interesting unlike the movies and blurs the line between good and evil. We learn that there are good separatists, unlike grievous and Dooku who want the war to end in peace. The terrorist organizations like death watch were greatly expressed and we got to learn the point of view of different factions in this war. Padme’s character was the highlight of the politics in this series as she is shown to be brave and righteous and a treat we didn’t expect.

Obi-wan and Satine were also a great addition and a way to make the already fan-favorite character more popular and better. We learn the difference between Anakin and obi-wan as obi-wan controls his feelings for Satine and is more responsible. This makes us know that the Jedi aren’t flawless like in the movies. The tragic end to their story was well written as we feel extremely sad along with obi wan as Satine is murdered by Darth maul.

Ahsoka was also introduced in this series and she is an incredible addition to the vast star wars cast. It's great to see how she expands on Anakin's character. We get to see great dynamics between her and the other characters. She has a great character arc from being an irresponsible padawan to a careful and responsible Jedi knight. One of the best moments was her seeing her future self warn her to leave Anakin but she refuses showing us their bond and friendship.

Th prophecy of the chosen one was nicely showcased in the Mortis arc as it develops Anakin's character by showing his struggle to deal with his mother’s death and how it still haunts him. Anakin seeing the future and not wanting to become Darth Vader shows us he tries to run away from his destiny and how e isn’t a bad person as of yet. He later faces the fact that he is the chosen one and learns not to run away from his destiny.
