The Batman starring Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz

Firstly this movie can easily beat the Dark Knight trilogy and is one of the best DC and superhero movies of all time. It is amazing and personally my favorite DC movie of all time.

The main character is of course Batman/Bruce Wayne. Bruce gets a lot of character development and many amazing moments that provide a great way to show us his personality and thought process and Robert Pattinson’s fabulous acting just brings the character to life.

Speaking of acting, all the cast give an amazing performance from Zoe Kravitz to Paul Dano. All the characters are portrayed amazingly through the pure and amazing acting of the actors. Paul Dano particularly gave an amazing performance as The Riddler and captured his psychotic nature and behavior. His scene with Batman when he is in jail is an amazing example of his acting.

Speaking of Paul Dano, The Riddler was an amazing choice for the first villain in this installment instead of the obvious and repetitive Joker (though he does show up at the end). I love the reinvention of the Riddler from a funny and not so threatening villain that has been seen in so many media and making him into a threatening and actually terrifying villain. Seeing joker at the end was amazing and was a great setup for future movies.

The cinematography was fabulous and there are so many amazing shots and camera techniques like the 1st POV shots and the constantly changing focus in many shots. The dark and normally hard-to-see scenes are very well done and make t easier to understand than in other movies.

There are minimal character dynamics due to the main character but dynamics like Batman and Catwoman, Batman and James, and Bruce and Alfred are very well done and capture the essence from the comics perfectly.

The pacing is surprisingly amazing considering the 3hr runtime. If you can watch a 3hr movie without getting bored shows how great the movie was to keep your interest at all times for such a long duration. The Batman did exactly that.

The action is great. The car chase scene was the highlight as it was amazingly choreographed and I dare say better than most of the car scenes in the fast and furious franchise.

The soundtracks are really good and not just there to sound cool and awesome though it does that. the soundtrack “Something in the way” also expressed the situations very well along with sounding amazing.

The comedy is extremely rare and subtle but really enjoyable and prevents you from feeling frustrated and stressed considering the dark and dangerous plot and story unlike many other dark and threatening movies.

The prologue is one of my favorite parts with an easy-to-understand and defining speech from Batman that captures the essence of Gotham city, unlike any other Batman movie. Gotham City was shown fabulously and the prologue shows how Batman is at the start which makes the ending even more impactful with Batman going from the shadows in the light to the light in the shadows with him holding up a flare and rescuing the people.

There are many emotional scenes that are pretty good and relatable and let you understand what Bruce is going through. There are many small details that make the story and Bruce’s character even better.

Do I need to even talk about the mystery aspect? It is easily the best mystery movie of all time and with Batman’s detective aspect, it makes the movie and mystery aspect even better.

I personally love how they did not show all of Batman’s gadgets and vehicles which will make their future reveals even better and did not make the movie more clustered and confusing.

I absolutely loved this movie and would happily give it a 9.8/10 because I thought the 3rd act was lacking a bit because the 1st and 2nd acts were that good. I love the decisions made by the director and studio.
