I spent eleven years living on a Ketch. Believe me, alone in the South Pacific you get as much privacy as you can possibly desire. Even when moored or alongside in various harbours and anchorages you are still pretty private.

If you feel that you or what you know is important enough to have Hi Tech levels of privacy invasion, you need to take extra steps. A Mu Metal lined case for your phone is a good start. I have one in the centre console of my car. Once it is in there, no one can track me. More concerned with my workmates and employees than with real spies. They all try to spy on the others with phone/GPS/Google maps tracking.
