If I was a woman who was raped I wouldn't report it. If I was to report it I’d be a suspect when they found the asshole’s body.

I have often wondered how many “disappearances” of men relate to an assault on a women with vigilante repercussions. Many years ago, when I was assigned to Police & Courts, a person who had a long term reputation for ‘having his way ‘ with unwilling women disappeared. His house was empty, his car in the drive, bank accounts untouched. The local Police opinion (unofficial) was that it was an angry boyfriend or husband. They didn't look too hard.

I am pretty sure that if something happened to one of my family members they would come to me before going to the Police. I am not tolerant and I am effective.
