No, PC is not simply politeness, it is suppressing truth in order not to offend. I am polite and courteous in most life situations, but I will not engage in pretense in order to help another person avoid reality. There are many problems facing society and pretending that they don’t exist, or are not important, is not going to help find solutions for them.

BTW, I do not troll, I express honest opinion and I care little how others regard that opinion. I am not trying to be popular, I see no point in deliberately cultivating popularity. People are advised not to ask me “Does my ass look big in this…” unless they really want to know.
