The Apple-Google shift

“ Okay, so I’m considering a switch to Android. No big deal.”

Very big deal if you have any concerns about privacy. Android is an open door to privacy invaders. Look at the permissions some of the simplest apps demand — and get. I have a drawer full of brand new (free — I didn't buy them) Android devices that I will not consider using.

If you are curious, set up an Android device on a controlled network and use a packet Sniffer while running through some of the more popular apps. You will get a shock, and maybe some outrage.
