Science’s shameful secret

The only problem with science is that scientific researchers are people. Like people everywhere, some are honest, some are not, some cut corners, some do the hard yards. There can be no expectation that science is more honest than any other area of human endeavour. When we have clerics constantly being found guilty of horrific crimes in the one profession that should be irreproachable, we can hardly expect one hundred percent trust from an area that is competitive, un-policed, and attracts some of the largest egos in society.
