How strange, Caity … I had the exact same thought myself when I heard about this essay. ‘This must be a reverse-QAnon,’ I mused.

Another possibility is that Trump himself is really the principal target audience for this psy-op. Maybe they want to make him so paranoid that he does something desperate, like fire his entire cabinet! Or maybe they just want to make sure that, being unable to trust any of his aids, he just gives up trying to run them and spends his whole day on Twitter, letting his mandarins, in effect, have the run of the country.
