Who is insisting on “Equivalence”? There, of course, is a line in which we can no longer take someone seriously. I’m suggesting we should operate with that line further back than most of us think. Additionally, maybe what someone really wants/is afraid of is different than the issue at hand. Being against nationalized healthcare, for example, could have a core of sound small-government belief.
