It’s time for me to produce my own content.

With how much stuff is published each and every minute across dozens of platforms, it’s easy for us to get into the habit of only being content consumers. Thank you Gary Vaynerchuk — after years of listening, I am finally ready to get in the game.

I feel like I have a lot to add to the conversation — specifically related to Marketing and Technology and how they fit into Sports. This is where I want to play.

As a former athlete myself…

Just don’t check my statline

…various Business Development roles at startups while at Babson College, 3 years in the Management Consulting world and now working in Digital Media and Content Partnerships at Boston Globe Media Partners, it is my hope to merge these disciplines as I shape the rest of my career.

Moving forward, I will be contributing to the discussion around things that I have become deeply interested in during the past couple of years. To list a few:

  • How technology is driving the future of the business of sports and what that will bring about in terms of sponsorships, viewing platforms, fan engagement, etc.
  • The velocity of change across the media landscape and how those who understand it and use it best will be able to truly leverage their brand and influence exponentially over time.
  • The opportunity that professional athletes of all skill levels have to develop brand during their playing career in order to improve their lifetime marketing value — to stay relevant even after their career ends.

Talk to you in a few.

Sean
