Grant Cardone, and Why You Shouldn’t be Ashamed of Money

Throughout my academic career, I’d never really paid much attention to my class lectures. Now of course, as a result, I get report cards back with D’s and F’s, with an occasional C if I’m lucky. I’m not exactly built to be a good student, but instead, I’ve always had interests unrelated to school throughout my life.

I’ve always loved the concept of working for myself. Think about it. You, working without the pressure of a boss to take control of your destiny, and being at the mercy of someone else. That is the lifestyle that I dream of. When I started to take interest in entrepreneurship, I began to look up to Gary Vaynerchuk and Grant Cardone, (this article is about Grant Cardone). I watched Grant’s videos, I listened to his podcast, and I just recently read his book, “Be Obsessed or Be Average”. One of the key concepts I learned from Grant is that you shouldn’t be ashamed of money, or more precisely, you shouldn’t be ashamed of wanting more money. This caught me off guard. It goes against every single principle that my parents and teachers had taught me throughout my entire life. I rejected this at first, thinking it was wrong to want a life of luxury. A life of private jets, teslas, and pent houses, yet, I was very intrigued by the way Grant talked, and the way he thinks.

I continued to consume his content for the next couple of months, gradually changing the way I think about money, and Grant’s overall message. As a young entrepreneur starting an ad agency, accepting the idea that money isn’t bad, but instead a tool to accomplish what you want, is a big step forward. Now with this new mentality, I am very confident in my ability to operate a business, scale it into the company I want it to be, and to choose the lifestyle I want. I have continued to give Grant Cardone’s content my attention, because of his track record. He is the CEO of 4 private companies, has real estate holdings of over $500,000,000, and has built a successful personal brand around himself. Grant has accomplished all of this while having come up from a middle class lifestyle, and a “broken” past.

Grant Cardone really inspires me when it comes to the business world, and ESPECIALLY sales. I’ve learned a ton about how to sell your product, and to really become successful in your business endeavors. I highly recommend Grant’s content and books to anyone who is considering to start a business, and wants to lead a life of opportunity, and choices. (Grant’s Website: https://grantcardone.com/ )
