The Genesis of Age of Empires IV Esports
Earlier this October, Elite Gaming Channel announced what will likely go down as the first major event in Age of Empires IV esports history. The excitement of this development has led me to schedule a series of interviews with some of the most prominent players that are likely to make an appearance at the event.
Understanding where they are coming from, what their experience is, and what the player themselves expect from this opening event will shed light on what Age of Empires IV could become.
Players from StarCraft II, Warcraft III, Age of Empires II, Age of Empires III, or even Age of Mythology, or Project Celeste; the open and free revival of the failed freemium Age of Empires Online project of 2015; They are all here, they are all playing for a piece of that $20k, and they are all aiming to chisel their name in the foundation of the scene.
