I appreciate your take on this.
I’ve been wondering how involved, how proactive, and how “for the people,” the politicians serving their regions in rural America have been. Most especially in the places where the communities are dying due to fossil fuels being phased out, automation being brought in, etc.
There’s a lot of finger pointing of how “evil” this or that is, and very little consideration for solving actual problems.
Although, I think your examples are the route to go. I’m not sure how we get from where we are now back to a place where that’s possible. I think the US government has lost sight of what it means to govern. Working together towards achieving something for all, not solely for their own voters. We are all suffering for it.
