How To Get Rid of Anxiety in Less Than A Minute

It was not too long ago when I would feel anxiety on a consistent basis. From Middle School up til last year, my mind had a tendency to always worry about so many little things and this in turn had a negative effect on my productivity and overall well being. It wasn’t until pretty recently when I started meditating and focusing on my breath that I started to see huge improvements in my ability to deal with anxiety and stress. One of the techniques I learned in particular has been immensely beneficial and best of all, it only takes 1 minute at the very least to do. It’s called the 4–7–8 breathing technique.
Instead of explaining why it’s called 4–7–8, I’ll give you instructions for you to follow along on how you can use this powerful breathing technique and you’ll be able to see why it’s called what it is. The best part is, there are only 3 steps to know:
First: Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds
Second: Hold your breath for 7 seconds
Third: Breathe out of your mouth for 8 seconds
(repeat this sequence 3–4 more times)
And voila! You should be able to notice how much more lighter you feel. The best part of this breathing technique is that you can do it just about anywhere such as your car or when you’re with people etc.. Studies have also shown that this breathing technique can help you fall asleep pretty quickly as well. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this technique I shared with you.
